Pay in the municipal sector

The difficulty of work assignments is the primary basis for determining pay in the municipal sector.

The municipal general collective agreement (KVTES) determines each job’s minimum (base) pay, which has to be paid to the employee. However, often the job-specific pay is higher than the basic pay determined in the level of salaries.

In addition to the basic pay, other pay components can be paid, such as a personal or work experience increment or hour-specific increments for working at inconvenient times.
